SEASONS
LIVE IN HARMONY WITH NATURE

Winter is the season of Vata. Cold, dry
and dark. Nature is dormant, resting and
preparing for cold and snow.

Our bodies now crave warm nourishing foods.
like beef barley and red bean soups and salads
made with beets carrots and other root vegetables .

We're more inclined to include heating postures
into our yoga practice. Warrior, backbends and
all other poses that resist gravity help fortify
the body against cold and wind. .

Our sinus congestion can be helped thru
fish, upward dog, camel and plough. And
regular cleansing of sinus passages.

Some of us suffer depression thru the
dark winter months. Get to bed early
and greet the rising sun with a smile.
